Plans are firming up for the INTERBORO CLASS OF 1960 70th
Birthday Celebration
The event will take place on Thursday, October 11, 2012
beginning at 11am. We will be meeting
and eating at the Bird-In-Hand Family Restaurant on Route 340 (Old Philadelphia
Pike) in Bird-In-Hand, PA. Please
plan to meet in the front lobby of the restaurant, no later than 11:10 so that
we may be seated together.
You and your spouse/guest (if present) will be able to
select the smorgasbord meal ($11.99 per person plus tax and gratuity, total
$14.50) or you may order a less expensive meal from the menu, either a lunch or
dinner item. Each person or couple will
only pay for what they order, no extra charges.
The restaurant has given us a private area where we can dine
and visit to get caught up. They said
that we should be able to stay extra time in that area following the meal for
further visiting. The town has some
interesting shops, a bakery, and a farmers’ market….all close by if you would
like to check them out after our time together.
Of course, there are many other interesting places and things to see and
do in the Lancaster
area.
If you know of others from our class that would like to join
with us for this day, please let me know no later than October 8. (Email is carolannejim@gmail.com or Phone 717-295-0233)
So far, we have had very favorable responses. Of course, many classmates that are far from
us have said that they will be unable to attend due to the distance. Although, Bill Monteith has said that he
hopes to be here from Florida! I am expecting about 20 to 30 people to
attend at this point, perhaps more it’s hard to say (responses are still
arriving).
